The Minister of Trade and Industry, Ms Dorcas Makgato-Malesu has told Parliament that there are no plans to set up a consumer protection office in Lobatse.
Responding to a question in Parliament, Ms Makgatho-Malesu said under National Development Plan 9, her ministry had proposed to set up the office in Lobatse but the project was deferred due to the economic recession and it will be considered once the economic situation improves.
Lobatse MP, Mr Nehemiah Modubule had asked the minister when Lobatse residents can expect the setting up of consumer protection offices in town. ENDS
