The Ministry of Lands and Housing has funded 4 151 turnkey projects countrywide, says lands and housing minister, Mr Lebonaamang Mokalake.

Answering a question in Parliament, Minister Mokalake said out of the 4 151 funded project, 1 907 were completed, 18 of which were in the Francistown West constituency.

He said whilst the ceiling per constituency was 17 projects per annum, when the Turnkey Development Scheme started in 2008, Francistown had low demand for this facility, hence there were 47 turnkey project funded in the past five years as against possible 85 projects.

Member of Parliament for Francistown West, Dr Habaudi Hobona had wanted to know the number of Turnkey projects that have been completed nationally in the past five years, and the number of those that are in Francistown West Constituency. ENDS
