Madiba Brigade out-performed other brigades during the north central zonal sports competitions in Mahalapye last weekend (July 5-6), with the men and women’s football teams winning position one, thus securing a place at the finals.

The brigade’s men volleyball team also took first position, making it through to the finals. Other first positions went to Bobonong Brigade’s women’s volleyball team and the women’s netball team from Serowe Brigade. 

In the in-door sports, the men’s team from Madiba Brigade won first position, followed by Serowe. Serowe women’s team also took first position. The badminton teams that will go to the finals are Madiba, Senyawe, Serowe, Tswapong Bokone, Shoshong and Serowe.

The coordinator of the games, Mogakolodi Motlhapisi said the brigades competed in soccer, netball, volleyball, table tennis and badminton. 

The games were organised by Botswana Brigades Sports Association. ENDS
