Lobatse councillors have been urged to promote the growth and development of the town by serving communities with passion, undivided love and determination.

Lobatse mayor, Ms Caroline Lesang also urged councillors to work collectively and use the limited resources at their disposal to develop the town into a business hub during a council meeting last week.

“Consultation meetings for the National Development Plan are currently underway and councillors are urged to make meaningful contributions and demonstrate dedication and commitment,” she said.

Ms Lesang said consultation meetings were a platform for communities to raise issues and challenges they face, and to get instant feedback from authorities and government officials.

“As councillors you must encourage your constituents, including the youth and the business community, to always respond to calls of this nature so that they can voice their needs and aspirations,” she said. ENDS
