The man who discovered and introduced Ofentse “Size 10” Nato to elite league says the player will make it to any league in the world.


Oris Radipotsane told BOPA after news broke that the Mogobane born will soon relocate to Europe, that Nato was a committed and disciplined player therefore he would survive in any set up.


He also said Size 10 was a versatile player who would play in any position and still performs well.

Radipotsane said he was happy to hear that the player he discovered at Ramotswa club, Killer Giants is now recognized by other leagues in the world.


“The first time I saw Size 10 was when I was coaching Under 20, we were playing a practice match against Killer Giants and I could tell that he had a bright future ahead of him,“ he said.


Contacted to clarify rumours if indeed Nato would be moving to Europe, Siyavuma Sports Group managing director Paul Mitchell, said the arrangement to Atletico Madrid is a loan deal that includes twelve weeks playing for their franchise Atletico Kolkota in the New Indian Super League. 


According to him after November Nato will then revert to Madrid and they would place him in Europe possibly in Spain or Portugal. 


Mitchell further said former Mamelodi Sundown’s and Bidvest coach, Antonio Lopez signed the player for Wits in 2010 having watched him in AFCON 2011,and he made recommendations to Madrid that he wanted the player to join the team.


He said Lopez is currently in the Atletico Madrid technical team but he will be placed as Atletico Kolkota coach where he would be working with Nato. 


“However I want to stress that the deal is not finalised, but I’m hoping all the paperwork will be completed in the next week.”


He said the League was completely new, therefore rules are changing all the time hence the slow pace of completing everything.


On other issues Mitchell said he rates Nato highly and if given chance he could make it in Europe. The player, he said, has not really played in his true position of central midfield in South Africa.  ENDS
