Departments build house for needy family

As the awareness month launch of Vision 2016 get closer, various departments are embarking on getting their projects ready for handing over.
The Vision 2016 launch month will this year be celebrated at Tsootsha in Ghanzi District end of August. Office of the President is one of the ministries that usually fulfil the vision pillar of a compassionate, just and caring nation.
Some department under this ministry being information services, broadcasting, government printing and BGCIS have started a housing project for a Tsootsha family.
Ms Xwaase Xukure and her daughter, who is working for Ipelegeng, will be beneficiaries of a two and half house.
The project coordinator, Mr Motlhophi Seretse said Ms Xukure and her family will be handed the house end of August at Vision 2016 awareness month launch by Vice President, Dr Ponatshego Kedikilwe.
He said they identified Ms Xukere with the help of the social and community development department as well as district leadership which provided a list of destitute people in the district.
The project, Mr Seretse said, was in partnership with Ghanzi brigade who are providing their building expertise and manpower. He added that they had various sponsors on board as well as staff members who raised funds for the project to be a success.
At the moment the project is at the foundation level. Office of the President left its mark in Tshane last year again when the ministry built a house a resident. ENDS
