Gunners sign Topo Piet

In their effort to challenge for the premier league title in the coming season, Extension Gunners have signed former Nico United’s prized player, Topo Piet.
According to Gunners’ chairperson, Kitso Dlamini, the club had signed a two-year deal with the winger, who was the 2012/2013 supporters’ player of the year.
Dlamini said they wanted to beef up their squad this season so as to compete for the be Mobile league championship. “There is no turning back this season; we want to be on top of our game, all the reason we have to sign in players who will help us to contend for the league,” he said.
Although Dlamini refused divulge more information, the Lobatse-based outfit is rumoured to be after Tshepo Maikano, Kemmy Pilato and Unobatsha Mbaiwa, from Botswana Meat Commission; Segolame Boy from Miscellenous; and Isaac Paeye from Notwane.
About the said players, Dlamini could only say they had since communicated to various teams seeking permission to talk to a number of players.
Gunners last week received a P2 million sponsorship from Dada and Ismail families and the chairperson made it clear that this season it will be a players shopping spree after prolonged financial constraints.
Meanwhile, Gaborone United’s secretargGeneral, Herbert Letsebe confirmed that they had acquired the signature of Zimbabwean international, Tendai Nyamadzawo from Tafic.
He said they were still in talks with other players, adding that they wanted to tighten their defence and striking force.
Letsebe confirmed that their goalkeeper, Noah Maposa was in talks with South African team United FC. Gaborone United, he said, had taken a decision to reserve the third foreign player slot for a goalkeeper, who will be on standby depending Noah’s and United FC outcome.
He admitted that it was going to be difficult to find a player of Maposa’s calibre given that all the goalkeepers were contracted to their clubs; hence they had to look outside.
From Mapalastina camp, Township Rollers secretary general, Khumoyame Masonya, confirmed that they had signed former, BDF X1’s left back, Otlantshekela Mooketsi.
Masonya ssaid they had also sought permission to talk to Boitumelo 'Navara' Mafoko. He further said they also had interest in Segolame Boy of Miscellaneous, and, just like other teams, Masonya said their intention was to beef up their squad this coming season.
In other issues, he said they were yet to receive an official list from the technical team as to which players will be on transfer list. ENDS
