Biblical principles key to students
19 Jun 2014
Biblical principles are the key to shaping and transforming the behaviour of children in order to approach their studies positively.
This was said by Ms Refilwe Tamocha, who is the counselling volunteer of Face the Nation Club and third year student in accounting and economics at the University of Botswana.
Ms Tamocha was speaking during the June 16 commemoration under the theme: A child-friendly, quality, free and compulsory education for all children in Africa at Maun Senior Secondary School recently.
The aim of their club, she said, was to encourage youngsters to love the Lord because his word was the only solution to their transformation.
She said they also engaged students in HIV/AIDS intervention programmes through (ABC) meaning Abstinence, Be faithfully and Claim Christ/Character rather than condomise which most people know about.
Ms Tamocha encouraged the multitudes of students who attended the commemoration to put their education first in every aspect of their day to day activities because the government has done well to offer them free education. ENDS
