Officer calls for more blood donations

It is important for the world to organise blood donations and highlight the crucial role of blood in saving lives.
The chief medical laboratory scientific officer, Ms Kelebeletse Mokobela said this, on June 7, during the launch of the blood week and to campaign and educate people to become blood donors.
She said that it was a known fact that women lost a lot of blood during delivery and therefore encouraged all people to give blood in order to save their mothers, sisters, wives and victims of accidents.
Ms Mokobela encouraged those who had not started giving blood that it was not too late for them to start. She saluted the heroes and heroines who donated blood noting that they were sharing their lives with their fellow citizens. Ends
