Botswana Accountancy College (BAC) will continue to promote knowledge management, knowledge exchange, research and benchmarking at enterprise and national levels to improve the effectiveness of human resource development.
Human Resource Development Council acting chief executive officer, Dr Patrick Molutsi said this at a four-day International Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities (ICSH) held in partnership with European Scientific Institute and the University of the Azores, Portugal.
‘We strive to provide a forum for constant international dialogue and consensus among key stakeholders on all matters relating to human recourse development,” he said.
Dr Molutsi said by parenting with other institutions demonstrates dedication by BAC to equip the student community and academic pool with valuable resources and opportunities while focusing on its vision to transform into a university.
He said there was need to encourage multiple platforms such as the ISCH because it rewards the industry, student communities, the nation at large and those in the labor force.
Dr Molutsi said BAC has strategically partnered with international institutions to position Botswana as knowledge based society that responds to economic needs and concerns of the world.
For his part, executive director of BAC, Mr Michael Lesolle said the institution continues to make efforts in hosting such intonation dialogues that foster an opportunity to stimulate a culture of training and lifelong learning, sharing of knowledge in Botswana and improving employability of the labor force and increasing productivity.
Held for the first time in Botswana at the BAC main campus, the conference’s primary purpose is to assemble researchers in the area of social sciences and humanities who can contribute to the development of the interdisciplinary concept through presentations of their scientific attainments.
The conference supports and prompts the open access policy by publication of its scientific discoveries.
The scientific explorations obtained during the conference will be published in the international scientific journal, European Scientific Journal (ESJ) and on its website, accessible for free to the entire academic audience. ENDS
