Naomi clinches two silver medals

Naomi Ruele did Botswana proud when she won two silver medals in swimming at the ongoing Africa Youth Games (AYG).
Naomi won a silver medal in the women’s 50 metres freestyle at the UB Stadium.
She won another silver in the 50 metres backstroke in 30:36 seconds, coming second to South African Rita Naude, who won gold with a time of 30:18 seconds. In the men’s category, David Van Der Colff won a bronze medal for Team Botswana when he finished third in the men’s 50 metres backstroke.
Egypt and South Africa are dominating the swimming competitions as they have won the most gold medals.
Ahmed Abbas has won numerous medals for Egypt while South African Tatjana Schoenmaker is also bringing glory to her country. Amongst her medals, Tatjana won the 100 meters women’s breaststroke. ENDS
