The defining moment has arrived for Botswana to prove to the world that the country can successfully host the African Youth Games. BOPA went around to hear public opinion regarding the games.

One of the dancers of the extravaganza is Lauren Hetolang, who could not contain her excitement about tonight’s performance.

A dancer at heart, she said she was thrilled to have been chosen as one of the dancers for the opening and closing ceremonies.

She stated that she could not wait to see how the final product turns out, adding that it was a chance for Batswana to show the world that they are capable of world class performance.

For Kemaketse Molamu, winning two tickets for her two boys was a mission accomplished as her children love sports.

She said her children played football at school and she wished to see them becoming successful sports stars in future; hence acquiring the tickets for them.

Chipo Batisani said she was happy that Botswana was hosting the Games in that she believed they would unite the nation.

A netball player herself, she stated that she would not miss the opening ceremony for anything.

Molamu stated that she would be knocking off late but would watch the opening ceremony on television, adding that she was thrilled that Botswana was hosting the games. Ends
