Ministry to outsource DonogengKatane Road grading

The Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Nonofo Molefhi says his ministry is aware of the inadequate maintenance of Dinogeng/Katane Road in the Kgatleng District.
He said this was due to insufficient equipment and frequent breakdowns. Mr Molefhi informed Parliament that the road required bush clearing and dry grading.
He said the ministry intended to outsource grading of this road in the next financial year, while bush clearing would be done in-house. He said procurement for dry grading was on-going as tender documents had been prepared and would be vetted on April 16.
Mr Molefhi was responding to a question from Kgatleng East MP, Mr Isaac Mabiletsa who had asked if the minister was aware that the road was poorly maintained. ENDS
