The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development will prioritise funding for completion of the outstanding works at the school for the disabled at the Gerald Estate in Francistown in the 2014/15 financial year.
Answering a question in Parliament, Assistant Minister Botlogile Tshireletso said the outstanding works which were to be completed were kitchen, store rooms, fridges, hand rails, firefighting equipment and furniture.
She stated that in 2010, her ministry completed the administration block, dining hall, hostels and electrical works at the disabled hostels at Gerald Estate. The MP for Francistown West, Dr Habaudi Hubona wanted to know why the school for the disabled in Gerald Estate in Francistown had not been operational since it was completed. ENDS
