Minister updates MPs on Boteti projects
08 Apr 2014
A total of 97 teachers quarters, 43 classrooms and 192 toilets have been constructed under the backlog eradication project in Boteti Sub-district.
The Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso said projects were undertaken in Khwee, Nicodimus, Tsienyane, Itsile and Letlhakane primary schools.
Other schools were Retlhatloleng, Mosu, Mmea, Mokubilo and Mmatshumu. She said when funds were available, schools in the sub-district would in future be considered together with other competing priorities under the primary schools facilities backlog eradication programme.
She was responding to a question from Boteti North MP, Mr Slumber Tsogwane who had asked the minister to provide a comprehensive unpdate on the classroom backlog eradication in the sub-district to avoid the current arrangement where some classes are taught in the open space. ENDS
