Ramotlabaki plant serviceable

The Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, Mr Kitso Mokaila has told Parliament that he is not aware that the Ramotlabaki Reverse Osmosis plant was commissioned more than 10 years ago.
He stated that the plant was still serviceable, however, at a very high cost and would be refurbished to improve its performance in the 2014/15 financial year.
Mr Mokaila stated that to date scoping of the project had commenced and it anticipated that the project will be completed end of April 2015.
MP for Kgatleng East Isaac Mabiletsa had asked the minister if he was aware that the desalination plant at Ramotlabaki village was more than 10 years old and whether it was serviceable or it had outlived its lifespan and when it will be replenished. Ends
