Hogs humiliate Tuskers

30 Mar 2014

Gaborone Hogs have humiliated Francistown side, Tuskers 94-7 in a one sided A Division Rugby League match played at Wharic Park grounds on Saturday, March 29.

The win by Hogs took them to the summit of the log after coming to the game in position three behind Botho University Ryders and BDF Cheetahs in positions one and two respectively.

Hogs made their intentions clear in the first few minutes of the match scoring try after try and were already 56 points when the match went into recess after the first 40 minutes.

Edward Oosthuizen ensured that all resulting conversions from the tries were scored and was later on assisted by Sean Bester, who however missed two conversions from the 14 conversions the team had from the tries.

Tuskers looked like a lost team as they could not afford to make one proper move that could penetrate the all too strong Hogs defence. The Francistowners were however able to salvage their pride by scoring their only try and conversion of the game towards the dying minutes of the game.

Hogs fans on the stands applauded Tuskers for the last minute move as they could not afford to watch a one sided match. Ends
