Gerald police station deferred
25 Mar 2014
Parliament has been informed that Gerald Police Station was included in the National Development Plan 10 (NDP 10).
Responding to a Parliamentary question, Minister of Defence and Security, Mr Dikgakgamatso Seretse said the project was among those that were deferred during the mid-term review together with other projects, which were in the plan at the beginning of NDP 10, due to budgetary constraints.
He also said the prioritisation exercise would determine which of the deferred projects would be put back into NDP 11.
Francistown West MP, Dr Habaodi Hubona had asked the minister if there were any plans to construct a purpose built police station at Gerald Estates in Francistown given the challenges posed by the current rented premises. Ends
