No plans to relocate Francistown college

The Ministry of Education and Skills Development has no plans to relocate the Francistown College of Education.
The Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, Mr Patrick Masimolole, however, said all colleges of education were going through major transformation as part of the rationalisation of teacher education.
Mr Masimolole said the Francistown College of Education would be transformed into the northern campus for open university and a centre for in-service training.
The Member of Parliament for Francistown West, Dr Habaudi Hubona had asked the minister if there were any plans to relocate Francistown Teacher Training College. Dr Hubona also asked the minister to state the reasons for the relocation and the area it would be relocated to. Ends
