Ipelegeng Development Trust donates computers

Ipelegeng Development Trust in conjunction with Noroc Technologies donated five computers to Mmualefhe primary school in Serowe recently.
Officially handing over the computers, the trust’s chairman and also private secretary to the Minister of Justice, Defence and Security, Mr Madoda Nasha said he hoped that through the use of computers, the school would improve performance.
Currently, Mr Nasha said educational system was more advanced and as such both students and teachers need to keep in touch with the outside world and that the only way they could do that was through the use of modern technology hence the donation.
He further urged teachers to be careful when using computers because when not monitored, students could end up misusing them by watching unacceptable material on the internet. He pointed out that through various fund raising activities, they held in Gaborone they managed to raise money that they used to buy the computers.
The chairman went on to state that the network would be available and that subscription fees would be paid for by Noroc Technologies for a year. The owner of Noroc Technologies, Mr Temo Tau, said they would ensure that students only view educational material on the internet and that the computers would communicate both in Setswana and English.
The school head teacher, Ms Banabotlhe Koonne, applauded Ipelegeng Development Trust for the donation saying the computers would help them a lot in doing their duties diligently.She said the donation came at the right time since they have been having challengesw typing official documents. ENDS
