Deputy district commissioner for Palapye Administration Authority, Ms Veronica Rabakane has commended revenue office staff for the job well done.

Addressing revenue staff during a dinner to celebrate good performance, Ms Rabakane said revenue was an essential component of the Ministry of Finance and Development planning. She said revenue contributed positively to the performance of the ministries despite the fact that the office was under staffed yet serving all departments under central government.

Having attained position that did not come as a surprise because the staff worked tirelessly to take the ministry to greater heights. She noted that through its services, the department ensured that civil servants from various departments carried out duties assigned to them through issuance of imprests.

Imprests, she said enabled the civil service to get decent accommodation making it possible for them to carry out their duties effectively and diligently. Ms Rabakane said a winning team did not come by chance, but rather it took everybody’s effort hence they were encouraged to continue providing excellent service. 


She said the office served a vast area with so many challenges but it managed to overcome those challenges to provide good service. She urged officers to inform themselves about the public service charter and adhere to it.

For her part, head of revenue office in Palapye, Ms Esther Radichaba thanked her staff for the support they gave her as head of that department.
She also thanked the Accountant General for making regular visits to revenue offices in the districts, adding that it provided the opportunity to iron out issues which were an impediment to the delivery of revenue service.

Ms Radichaba said her office believes in a happy customer as such met customers satisfaction. She also thanked the district administration’s office for the support, saying that it enabled them to overcome challenges.
