The Minister of Agriculture, Mr Christiaan De Graaff has said the donation of 1 000 bibles to his ministry calls on the staff to work as a team and seek God’s guidance in whatever they do.
Mr De Graaff said the gesture supported his request when he assumed the office that people should turn to God for direction and leadership in their daily service delivery activities. Speaking during the donation of bibles from Mr Francois Conradie of Discovery Drilling and Prophet Mark Labuschagne of Mark Labuschagne Ministries in Gaborone on Tuesday, the minister said he once donated a few bibles to his ministry and the hunger he saw in people forced her to request for additional bibles.
Mr De Graaff said at the end about 17 000 bibles would have been donated to other ministries, schools and hospitals across the country. Mr Labuschagne said he received a calling from God to donate bibles in Botswana, and hoped that the bibles would change many lives and grow a seed of hope in the hearts of the beneficiaries.
“I believe that through these bibles God will bless your lives, families and even your jobs,” he said. The Assistant Minister of Agriculture, Mr Oreeditse Molebatsi urged all Batswana to use the bibles for a good course and not to impress anyone.
“Everyone should take remorse in this and ask themselves if they will be counted as Christians.” He said the bible is a gift from God adding that no one should think that they were being recruited to join a particular church. ENDS
