Twenty-eight-year-old Larona Sengwaketsi is the owner of Larna Luxury Products, a company that manufactures organic body products.

The young and dazzling beauty said her business, which started in 2017, specialises in products that are produced using natural organic ingredients without added chemicals.

The products include the Yummy Mummy Tummy Butter, Sheacoco Body Butter, Himalayan bath soak. 

She added that organic products are more beneficial to all types of skin as they come natural, citing that they protect the body against the sun, reduce scars and stretch marks and also nourishes the skin.

A University of Botswana graduate with a degree in Economics and Psychology, Ms Sengwaketsi revealed that initially, the idea of the business came up in 2017 when she was expecting her first born, citing that she was struggling to find products that suit her due to sensitive skin.

She added that she did some research and decided to produce some organic body products for herself at home, something which impressed her family and friends, thereby helping to grow her customer base.

It was after realising the business opportunity that she never looked back and embarked on the journey to change lives through the products, citing that the business was self-funded. 

The certified IT consultant, who has a day job, further said ever since its establishment, Larna Luxury Products is growing as more people are becoming interested in her products while the business, which operates from her home in Gaborone, has one certified employee and four voluntary members.

Ms Sengwaketsi added that her products were currently available at Mmabontle Concept store at Molapo Crossing with future expansion prospects in Francistown and Maun. 

She encouraged other youths to invest more in self-development by taking advantage of their skills and ideas, citing that once they start they must strived to achieve goals. ENDS
