Liberty Life launches office in box
26 Oct 2017
Liberty Life Botswana has launched an Office-in-a-Box initiative aimed at transforming the insurance industry by providing instant services to customers.
Officially unveiling the box, head of business development, Ms Kgomotso Disele said the initiative would allow the institution to provide financial inclusion to customers in remote areas.
“Office-in-a-Box is a small suitcase/container that has a laptop, printer, scanner, ID scanner and biometric fingerprint scanner,” she said, adding that the laptop had a modem that made it possible for their agents to be in contact with the head office and access emails.
She said the initiative would give customers instant access to products being offered by Liberty Life, and that they would look at quotations, scan their IDs, pay-slips, bank statements and also sign documents without having to wait.
“Before this, our agents used to see our customers and tell them about our products, then come back to the office to scan IDs, print papers and avail quotations after a week or so, but now all of this is instant,” she said.
She noted that their sales agents would also have access to the Liberty online web system.
“We are the first in the market in Botswana to bring such a solution that provides end-to-end services and playing our role in supporting our channels,” said Ms Disele.
Even though Liberty Life has 45 indirect and direct agents, Ms Disele said they only had two Office-In-A-Box equipment, and that they would increase the number when the need arose.
“Not everyone of our agents will use this,” she said.
She said the equipment had already been used at a Township Rollers match, and that it was also used to service customers at Botswana Defence Force (SSKB).
“The feedback has been amazing and this is one of our many initiatives that are aimed at making it easier for people to access insurance products and Liberty Life Botswana’s products,” she said. ENDS
