The challenge of what was believed to be acts of Satanism in schools in the North West region has ceased, according to the regional education director Mr Acronews Maseko.

Mr Maseko expressed his delight recently in Maun at a Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) stakeholders’ analysis meeting.

He said thanked the Minister’s Fraternal, especially Family of God Church for their prayers and counselling to the students in the schools across the region.

Mr Maseko said the students who were associated with the satanic acts in Maun schools had changed and some were been re-admitted in various schools including their ring leader.
He said the one who was the ring leader came out and claimed to have disengaged himself from Satan and was now a God abiding child who went back school.

On another note, Mr Maseko said investigations into the other matter that gave his office headaches in the past year, that of teacher-students relationships at Shakawe Senior Secondary School were complete.

Mr Maseko said some of the teachers in question had been served with statements while some were yet to receive those letters. He said the matter was now at the ministry headquarters level and was anticipated that the teachers in question would be dealt with accordingly and the minister would inform the public about the outcome.

Mr Maseko said the issues of student-teacher relations were dwindling in his region although there were still few reported cases.

He said it would be appreciated it if such issues would come to an end so that the regional education office focus on results improvement. ENDS
