Crackit Tuition ray of hope

04 Sep 2023

Crackit Tuition on Saturday organized learners and institutions interaction at Francistown with a view to wet learners’ appetite to put in a lot of hard work in their studies and subsequently have better prospects of gainful careers.

The founder and chief executive officer, Mr Moemedi Senwelo, said at the beginning of the career guidance day that the initiative was one of the many activities that his organisation had put in place to expose learners to the world of possibilities as far as career is concerned.

Mr Senwelo said since its inception in 2019, Crackit had taken giant steps in bringing hope to many of the students who did not perform very well at both junior and secondary schools.

“We have had students who failed dismally at junior and secondary schools passing with distinctions at our different centres spread the length and breadth of Botswana,” he said.

This year’s theme; “Towards Improving Academic Performance and Career Exposure” resonated well with the learning institution whose slogan was “Learn the Smart Way”.

The Ministry of Youth, Gender, Sport and Culture official, Ms Batshegi Seleke, unravalled to learners the many available programmes geared towards improving their lives and fellow citizens.

Ms Seleke said the ministry offered programmes ranging from sports, constituency competitions, arts and culture which catered for both in and out of school students.

She said some of their programmes had produced elite and world-acclaimed sports stars such as Zibani Nkosi and many others.

She told them about one of the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture’s flagship programmes namely the Youth Development Fund, which she stated doles up to P450 000 to empower enterprising young people between the ages 18 and 35.

“We also have the Botswana National Service Programme which caters for the age bracket 20 to 30 years and it is solely meant to expose young people to different careers and ensure they gained the necessary experience beforehand,” she told the learners, some who travelled from Selibe-Phikwe (about 150km) to attend the Crackit Tuition career guidance day.

Other intuitions among them; Access Bank, Botswana Accountancy College (BAC), Bosa Bosele College also took inquisitive students through the paces of the various services and programmes that were at the learners' disposal.

They urged learners to knuckle down if they wanted to make headway in life and be better citizens who could take the families, communities and the nation at large to greater heights.

Crackit Tuition offers courses in a wide range of subjects, from languages to Maths and science.

The institution has both live online classes and pre-recorded courses and their mission is to make education more accessible and affordable. ends
