Investigations into rhino shooting incident ongoing

The Ministry of Environment and Tourism through the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (DWNP) is investigating a rhino shooting incident that occurred at Khama Rhino Sanctuary recently.
A press release issued yesterday states that the shooting involved four rhinos, two of which died due to injuries whilst the other two are recovering.
The two carcasses were found with their horns intact.
The release states that the investigation on the matter is ongoing to identify the cause of death, and the ministry is working round the clock with other law enforcement agencies to establish motives behind the shootings so that appropriate actions are taken against perpetrators.
Furthermore, the ministry has expressed gratitude to the public members for their continued support and urged them to report any wildlife crimes with the DWNP or other law enforcement agencies.
