Assistant Minister of Agriculture, Mr Oreeditse Molebatsi is in Argentina attending the second meeting of ministers of agriculture of Sub-Saharan countries and Argentina.

The meeting, which started on August 19 and ends on August 24, aims to expand cooperation among South-South countries in addressing financial crises through productive policies and joint projects in order to strengthen a model of socially-inclusive economic growth.

A press release from the ministry stated that the meeting is being held under the theme: Efficient Agriculture to Achieve a Sustainable Agricultural Development. In the two years since the first meeting, four new agreements on agricultural cooperation were signed between Argentina and Sub-Saharan countries.

Currently, the release stated, other seven agreements on the same area of cooperation were under negotiation. The assistant minister is expected back on August 25. Ends
