All Kasi returns to future
17 Jan 2019
Popular local clothing brand, All Kasi, has decided to retrace its steps and go back to producing more casual wear to go with its popular sports apparel.
The clothing label, which was established in the early 2000s used to focus primarily on designing a range of casual wear, which included tee-shirts, shorts, spotties, denim jeans and shoes.
However, as time went on they shifted concentration to designing sports apparel, with football kits and tracksuits dominating their clothing range.
The All Kasi kit is currently one of the most popular in the local market with some top-flight teams, first division, and lower division teams around the country donning it.
Even the senior national team, Zebras, wore it for a number of years, including the height of the team’s success when they qualified for their maiden Africa Cup of Nations appearance seven years ago.
The company’s marketing officer, Mr Kutlo Kemoeng said in an interview that the decision to increase production of All Kasi casual wear was intended to cater for their diverse clientele.
He said they reduced their production of casual wear around 2008 when they ventured in sportswear.
“The production of our casual wear was insignificant since 2008 compared to sportswear. Now we have finally brought back our casual wear in full force because we want to touch base with our original customers who used to like our spotties, caps, t-shirts, golf shirts and other clothing items. We have made sure that we design quality, authentic products just like our sportswear,” said Mr Kemoeng.
He said they have brought back the All Kasi spotty, V-neck, the shield tee-shirt, the three-quarter shorts, and winter goodies in their distinct black and white blueprints.
He said they also intend to bring back the All Kasi denims and shoes in future.
He said the increased production of casual wear would not in any way affect the production of sportswear since they have expanded production in their factory.
“Our production used to be 90 per cent sportswear and 10 per cent casual. We now intend to make it 50/50,” he said.
Mr Kemoeng said the company has introduced the ‘Reka Direct’ service in order to reach out to their clients around the country.
Through the service, he said they deliver All Kasi products costing P5 000 or more anywhere around the country for free.
He said through the service, they have delivered products to customers from as far as Maun, Francistown, Maitengwe and other places. ENDS
