North-South carrier shut down is over

A press release from Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) states that the North-South Carrier 1 shutdown aimed at allowing repairs on the pipeline is over.
The release states that the repairs were successfully done and that the corporation is working on restoring water supply, citing that some areas have started receiving water with the remaining areas anticipated to recover over the next week.
It states that Gaborone City is still recovering with most areas receiving water supply hence other areas like Block 6 to 10 are still without water.
According to the release, the Tlokweng water supply was restored on November 15, and that areas on low ground received supply with other areas yet to recover.
In Mogoditshane, some areas started receiving water supply on Tuesday and the rest of the village will recover over the next 48hrs..
The Gabane water supply restoration is scheduled for November 18. On the other hand in Kumakwane, the areas not receiving supply from boreholes will recover as an extension of Gabane’s recovery.
The release also states that Mmopane and Metsimotlhabe water supply restoration is scheduled for November 19.
In Mochudi, part of the village has water, but areas on high ground are yet to recover while Bokaa is yet to recover too. Lobatse areas do not have water while Ramotswa has water although at low pressure.
It states that bowsing is being done in the affected areas with priority given to hospitals, clinics and other institutions.
The corporation advices the public to ensure that all water taken out of the WUC network and stored in containers for use during supply interruptions is handled in a hygienic manner to avoid contamination. Ends
