Reverend Kgori mother of the needy

It seems to be happening according to God’s perfect plan for Reverend Pontsho Kgori, a 49-year-old woman of Molepolole who resides in Mmopane. The generosity, love and respect she has catapulted her to establish a charitable organisation called Mother Pontsho Foundation.
This foundation was established in 2003 and officially registered in April 2014.
The foundation’s vision was to restore and sustain the dignity of a human being. It takes care of less privileged children in Mmopane by providing them with school uniforms, toiletry, and food.
It also caters for their school work as it gives them extra lessons after school.
Quizzed on how everything started, Reverend Kgori said, “I believe that this foundation is my lifelong dream because I was born with the spirit of giving and sharing.”
She explained that most people thought that pastors were only meant to preach the gospel.
But people should not forget that they preach this gospel to turn around the lives of people.
She said there was always this burning desire within her that required her to extend a helping hand to the less privileged in the society and had no doubt that this foundation would take care of that.
She also added that this foundation was not only limited to the community of Mmopane and encouraged everyone across the country who wished to come on board to do so without any fear as their support in any possible way was vital.
She appealed to the government to act swiftly on their application for a plot.
“Where we are right now is a temporary residence recommended by the headman of Morake ward, Mr Gothatamang Morake,” she said.
For his part, Mr Gothatamang Morake, pointed out that the main reason why he gave out this plot was because he was convinced that the idea and intensions of Reverend Kgori about the plot were credible.
“I could tell from the onset that we can invest on her.
I have no doubt that if we can support this lady, the sky will be the limit. To me, Pastor Kgori, is a rare catch,” he said.
One of the residents of Mmopane, Mr William Kobe said the foundation was doing a great job adding that, “we can’t afford to live decent lives while others are going through hard times.”
The area councillor, Mr James Lekgetho extended his sincere gratitude to the founder and her team and appealed to them not to be discouraged even in difficult times as they were doing a great job not to residents of Mmopane only, but to the nation at large. Ends
