20 Dec 2012

Letlhakeng District Health Management Team (DHMT) has donated food hampers and blankets to Motobe family at Takatokwane in Letlhakeng Sud-district. Mr Langwane Motobe is a person living with disability and stays with his wife, three children and eight grandchildren.

Kgosi Motsiele Tsiane of Takatokwane said  the Motobe's  should consider themselves fortunate to have received food and blankets because recession had made everything costly. He advised Mr Motobe to take care of the food and clothes in order to show respect to the donors.

Speaking on behalf of a DHMT, senior nursing officer with the Letlhakeng sub-district, Ms Reginah Mere said they had been donating in several areas since 2009.

Handing over the food hampers, Letlhakeng district officer, Mr Thusang Nyoni said that it really showed that Batswana were willing to help government in assisting the less fortunate.

Giving a vote of thanks, Councillor Neo Segaise of Takatokwane urged Batswana to uphold the spirit of giving. He commended the DHMT for continuing to assist the less privileged members of the community. ENDS
