Botsalano Press Publisher has recently launched attainment test revision books for primary school standard one to four.

Published books included Environmental Science, Setswana, English, Mathematics, Cultural Studies and Creative and Performing Arts.

Mr Podi Mooki, the Botsalano Press sales and marketing manager last Friday welcomed teachers, booksellers, curriculum developers and appreciated their presence at the  launch.

He indicated that it was necessary to have teachers and educators at the launch because they were launching educational books that would help them and their pupils. Again, he said Botsalano press assembled seasoned teachers to come up with good resource material to help in the total development of the children.

The editorial manager, Mr Simonds Bamfo said that their theme was Your Child’s Education is Our Priority, hence their dream and effort to strive to improve children’s education.

Mr Bamfo said their books built a strong academic foundation, adding, “and with that the children can develop and attain a lot in their studies.’

He also indicated that attainment test revision books helped students to answer questions during revisions and tests as they combined topics that are summarised in a way that they can grasp easily.

However, he said those were not textbooks but supplementary books therefore should be used together with other textbooks for greater results.

Also, he noted that the books were structured in a way that they started with topic summary, structured questions, true or false and multiple-choice to cater for every student’s learning ability.

He added that the books were clear and concise with summaries of all the content from standard one all through to standard four.

“The books give children exposure to attainment test settings, practice and confidence to attempt questions,” he said.

Pelontle Motlaleng, a student from Botlhale International School creatively recited a poem about how wonderful the books were and how they have helped her to attain good marks at school.

Attendees were also taken through an overview and review of the books to comment and critique. ENDS
